Welcome
back Matmen Wrestlers, New and Veterans.
Please
find below our 2022-23 schedule of session dates, divisions, training
times, uniforms, registration fees and additional requirements needed
to join the Matmen Club.
All
new
member athletes must register with the Ontario Amateur Wrestling
Association (OAWA) prior
to your first practice for insurance purposes and for sanctioning
club, provincial and national competitions. Registration can be done
directly on the OAWA
web page. Those athletes who
are returning from last year are not required to make the OAWA payment
until the beginning of second session, as they are currently members
up to the end of 2022.

All
new
athletes are asked to come to practice with a white T-shirt and black
shorts (for boys) and tights (for girls). Returning Matmen Wrestlers
will be required to wear their previous uniforms. Those wishing to
complete testing to move to Advanced and Elite
(Teens) will have an opportunity to do so during the first few weeks of
practices during which we will run physical and technical testing.
New uniforms will be presented at the time of successful advancement. The
Elite program will also require an application as well as an
agreement contract for the year. This will be provided prior to testing.

Annual Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association(OAWA) Registration
and Insurance fee is not included in club fees. Must register
with OAWA online at time of registration with MATMEN or before
new year if already an OAWA member.
Tournament fees are not included in club fees.
Provincial and National Tournament Championships and qualifier registrations and fees not included.
